Yes, our therapists will ask you some general health questions before your session begins. It is important for you to inform your practitioner of any health problems or medications you are taking. Please refer to the Case History Form for a list of health conditions that your therapist needs to be aware of to ensure you receive the proper care. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to contact us.
Are there any preparations I need to make before my appointment?
Our recommendation is to come to your appointment 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time. This will allow plenty of time to discuss your massage with your practitioner and to receive the full allotted time for your massage. In addition, we recommend that if you are going to eat prior to your massage, that you eat a light meal.
How will I feel after the massage treatment?
Directly following a massage, we will recommend you take a moment to clear your mind before exiting the room. Many clients feel very refreshed and rejuvenated in the hours and days following their treatment. Clients who have experienced strain and tension in various muscles express a satisfying sense of relief from these aches and pains.
It is a good idea to drink plenty of water following a massage; this will encourage any toxins, which may have been removed from your muscles and tissues to flush your system.
